Overview

Must have a minimum of 2+ years of oil and gas industry experience and 5+ years as a surveyor is required. Must have a demonstrated ability to successfully manage several clients and projects in various stages of development. Must be able to handle a demanding workflow. Licensure as either a Professional Land Surveyor or Land Survey Intern required.

The successful candidate will be team oriented and excited to work in the oil and gas consulting industry. You must have high-level communication skills, both written and verbal. Candidate must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment. You must have a positive attitude and willingness to strive for project success. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Attendance is critical due to the importance of position.

ALTA / ASCM
Construction staking
Pipeline routing and pipeline as-builts
Pad layout and production equipment as-builts
Steel Pipeline
Essential Functions:

PLSS knowledge
Perform internet based and courthouse research
Ability to operate Trimble TSC2 & 3 with Access
Ability to operate Trimble Business Center (TBC) / TGO
Ability to operate AutoCAD, Civil3D or Carlson
Knowledge of Arc GIS or Google Earth preferred
Additional Responsibilities:

Managing 2-3 survey crews
Reviewing work requests
Preparing and lining out crews
Processing crew data
Equipment maintenance of all survey equipment
Marketing of company services in the Bakken region
Maintain Professional License and continuing education
Expectations:

Position is 40+ hours per week
Job location is based in Sidney, Montana, with travel to outlying areas. Travel to other offices in Sidney or Missoula, Montana may be required.
