The Water GIS Data Maintenance Specialist will work on one or more of the Utility GIS editing and data layers for drinking water. We are seeking someone with Water GIS editing and analysis experience, who is focused, and wants career projection. The person in this position should be detail-oriented, and possess good problem-solving, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. This position will report to the Management Systems Analyst Supervisor.
Creating and editing GIS feature classes and tables via ArcMap.
Performing research utilizing a variety of methods including, but not limited to: business systems, manuals, documents, and browser-based tools and applications.
Managing and interpreting various source materials such as maps, engineering plans, field sketches, etc.
Performing quality control.
Performing spatial analysis.
Upkeep of unit tracking systems using MS Access or Excel.
Customer contact with SPU employees.
Documenting procedures and guidelines.
Performing user acceptance testing.

Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, or other related field.
