The core function of the Mapping Coordinator is to gather and update various information related to jurisdiction zoning requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Gather data and determine how best the information can be displayed using ArcGIS, Google Earth and any customer’s mapping solution to support interdepartmental information requests
•Correspond with, verify, schedule and coordinate with third party and government agencies to obtain tower and cellular datasets.
•Review and research various document types or databases in order to determine competitor new tower activity. This determination is also based on jurisdiction feedback.
•Assist with administrative duties, including but not limited to filing and copying mapping related items within the department.
•Correspond with jurisdictions and carriers and conduct research in order to obtain jurisdictional requirements regarding new tower builds.
•Other projects and duties as assigned.
