SUMMARY:  The King County Road Services Division is recruiting for a full-time Career Service position at the Engineer II level in the Survey Unit.

WHO MAY APPLY:  This recruiting effort is open to all qualified individuals. Under the collective bargaining agreement, first consideration is for lateral movement of current career service employees, holding the position of Engineer II, who are members of PTE, Local 17A.  This recruitment is opened until fill however first screening of applications received will begin after May 7, 2018.

WORK SCHEDULE:  This position is nonexempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is overtime eligible. The regular workweek is full-time 40 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday; must be available to work after hours, weekends, and holidays upon management request.

The King County Road Services Division designs, builds, operates and maintains roads and bridges in unincorporated areas of King County. The division is committed to ensuring the county's transportation system is safe and efficient for all uses and modes of travel. The Division is responsible for 1,500 miles of road and 182 bridges, 5.7 million feet of drainage ditches, over 44,000 traffic control signs, 78 traffic signals, and 50 traffic cameras in unincorporated King County.
